The above picture is of a ship docked at what is now "Shipyards Landing" in Bridgewater. It was taken from the east side of the LaHave River looking at the ship docked on the west side. The ship appears to be loading lumber. You can see the old schoolhouse at the corner of what is now Prince Street and Acadia Street in Bridgewater. Acadia Street was not there in this picture and School Street ran from King Street to Prince. Many of the houses in this picture are still here.
