Fishing Boat Takes on Water

Bridgewater - July 27, 2003 Well, it has finally happened, the old fishing "boat" tied up at the former Government Wharf in Bridgewater, has sunk or at the very least is sitting on the bottom. This boat, along with the old Navy ships has been an area of controversary for some time, and maybe now Bridgewater Town Council will get involved. Town Council reported that an update of the Bridgewater Marine Terminal activity will come to the regular August meeting. Rick Welsford, Chairman of the Artificial Reef Society of Nova Scotia has been invited to provide the update. Council has wondered what the future of the "Cormorant" vessel currently berthed at the Marine Terminal. Councils meeting is slated for August 11.
