What is Leaf Wetness?

After a period of rain, dew or spray, a leaf would contain surface moisture. The sensor used to measure this wetness uses electrical resistance to obtain a reading with 0 being completely dry and 100 being saturated or totally wet. Some of the uses of the readings of leaf wetness would be:
  • Fungal Warnings
  • Disease Predictions
  • Surface Moisture Monitoring
  • Crop Over-Spray Monitoring
  • Irrigation Monitoring
  • Plant Breeding

While many people would not use the Leaf Wetness readings, we show this as it is part of the overall weather station features.
