Town of Bridgewater

Bridgewater is a town in Lunenburg County, Nova Scotia, Canada, at the navigable limit of the LaHave River. It is the largest town in the South Shore region. While a good deal of the South Shore’s economy is reliant on tourism, Bridgewater is a commercial and industrial centre that attracts far fewer visitors. One of the primary employers is a Michelin tire plant.

Government Invests in Clean Energy Plan for Bridgewater

Government is helping the Town of Bridgewater advance a community energy initiative that will support local investment in sustainable energy solutions and drive economic activity.

Minister of Business Mark Furey, on behalf of Energy Minister Michel Samson, announced $20,000 in support today, March 27, for the town’s Energize Bridgewater Project.

Bridgewater’s reduced energy costs saved town about $200K

The Town of Bridgewater is celebrating after recent analysis showed the municipality has managed to drop its greenhouses gas emissions well below targets set in 2013.

That drop in energy consumption has saved the town roughly $200,000, according to the town’s sustainability planner.
